Skype Journal's Founders
Stuart Henshall and Phil Wolff started blogging about Skype when it launched in 2003. Phil took off for an 18-month political campaign in 2004, but Stuart continued to blog about Skype.
Stuart started SkypeJournal.com in February 2005 and recruited Bill Campbell to join in the blogging fun. Stuart left Skype Journal in early 2006 is now marketing vice president for a digital identity startup. Bill Campbell left Skype Journal mid-2006.

Stuart began evangelizing the potential impact of Skype just days after they launched. What began as two questions “What’s your Skype strategy?” and “What’s your presence strategy?” is typical of Stuart’s desire to help build the opportunity horizon.
He’s been an active blogger (Unbound Spiral) and analyst in the VoIP, social networking, blogs and wiki space. He has been recognised by the industry, is often a panel participant and has made presentations at major industry conferences across continents.
Stuart was senior practitioner at GBN Global Business Network where he led scenario and futures projects in telecommunications, biotechnology, and consumer products. He has facilitated powerful change programs for the top teams at Dow Corning, General Mills, Motorola and HP Labs. His broad international background also includes roles as General Manager and VP Sales and Marketing in both Consumer Products and Retail.
He has taught public and private programs, including at the Haas School of Business (UCB) and University of Auckland Executive Programs. He’s been recognized by Entovation as a Global Knowledge Innovation Leader, while his papers include “Trust in Networks,” “The COMsumer Manifesto” and a short series on emerging P2P (peer to peer) environment.
W.J. (Bill) Campbell
Bill edited and co-wrote the first Skype API Guidebook, directed to the Skype development community. As CEO of Qzoxy Software Inc he developed a presence server for managing online user status. As the inaugural member of the Skype Developer Program he continues to be one of a handful to test all new Skype products. About a third of his career was spent as a manager with the Hewlett Packard Company. Fifteen years ago, Bill founded The PTCompany which specialized in business process reengineering and project management tools. Bill is applying his interest to growing the developer community around the Skype API.
